Friends and colleagues,
As we are nearly halfway through the year, I am pleased to offer this month's President's Message and share that we have had several early successes in 2018, led by a fruitful sponsorship campaign. We'd like to take a moment to thank all of our annual sponsors, listed below:
JLL | AE7 | Desmone Architects | First National Bank | First National Insurance Agency | BDO | Civil & Environmental Consultants | Hanna Langholz Wilson Ellis
If you'd like to see your organization represented as an annual sponsor, there's still time to be included. Please contact Bethany Addams in the Chapter Office.
It's because of the generosity of our sponsors that we're able to start the year off with a great schedule of events including: January Careers in Corporate Real Estate Panel at Point Park University, featuring a variety of CRE professionals who opened up to students about real-life lessons learned. In March, CoreNet Pittsburgh was pleased to partner with ULI Pittsburgh, GBA, and Pittsburgh City Planning to focus on "Pittsburgh's Green Print" and the impacts of the new Building Benchmarking Ordinance. April brought us a unique program highlighting Technology & Design in the Workplace, which offered solutions for leveraging technology in a rapidly changing environment and featured speakers from DIRTT Environmental Solutions, Whitlock, and KMA & Associates.
Next up: On May 30, CoreNet Pittsburgh will have the unique privilege to tour the award-winning Energy Innovation Center, meet with some of the EIC's current tenants, and hear from Dr. Robert Meeder of Pittsburgh Gateways (developer on the project). See registration link below, and please plan to join us! As we look forward to exciting programming ahead, I encourage you to get involved and determine how we can best engage you in the remainder of the year.
CoreNet Global Pittsburgh Chapter is pleased to announce the addition of new Programs Committee Member and Event Champion of our 2nd Annual Pink Pong Tournament: Emily Mocilan (KMA & Associates). Anne Murgel (PNC), formerly an At-Large Board Member, will now join the Education and University Relations Committee alongside David Thor (JLL).
CoreNet Global Pittsburgh Chapter is pleased to continue its work in 2018 with an engaged and growing Leadership Board. We encourage all members to consider a leadership role within CoreNet and to identify where your interests might lend to your increased engagement.
Thank you for your support of CoreNet Pittsburgh. Should you have any questions about how to enhance your membership involvement, participate on a committee or support our programming efforts through corporate sponsorship – please contact Bethany in our administrative office (724) 687-0707. We look forward to connecting with you through CoreNet Global with a mission to advance the practice of corporate real estate through professional development opportunities, publications, research, conferences, and chapters and networking groups.
