Message from the President

June 2020

Hello CoreNet Pittsburgh! Thanks to those of you who joined us for our first “Coffee with CoreNet” session on June 10 discussing systematic racism in the real estate industry. Megan Worbs of New Ivy Group provided a historical context on this topic and gave us advice on authentically communicating within our organizations about it.

We are working to set up additional virtual coffee sessions over the next several weeks. If you have ideas or would like to present, let me know.

Last month I participated in the CoreNet hackathon, a virtual event that brought together over 1,000 corporate real estate professionals to tackle what the workplace will look like in the future. Topics included workplace wellbeing, space utilization and metrics and the autonomous workplace. Check out the presentations here.

Thank you to our 2020 annual sponsors AE7, First National Bank, Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., Colliers International, Desmone Architects, and Hanna Langholz Wilson Ellis. Our sponsors make CoreNet programming possible and we are grateful for their support.

Robin Alexander, Chapter President
